• Fast pacing on edit
• Flashing lights
• Visual effects - Vertigo effect, trick shots
• Contrast either super contrasted or overexposure 
• Unusual costumes and mise en scene, lots of gothic makeup and body art
• Mise en scene, unusual objects in background/ words in back ground  (Example; the word SEX appears for a split second in "spitfire" the official video by the prodigy
• Camera glides, steady cam techniques, motion speed fast and slow, sometimes super slow motion
