"The effects on the edit were really good

The editing was amazing

The explosive nature of the song fitted well with the explosive nature of the edit

Nice drum kit- Maybe a whole band performance?

Loved the shots and effects

I liked the edit loads

Will be good when narrative is complete

The editing was amazing, it was really interesting and I like how complex the narrative was

I liked the colour correction, really brings out the camerawork. Great editing overall

Loved the editing, and how there was powder on the drums, was a nice touch

Efosa's costume really adds to the mise-en-scene

Music Video: Production: Progress So Far...

Sir is off today with the bubonic plague, and has missed the completion of the Cd cover and Magazine advert.

We still need one more filming day, we are going to try and arrange it for this friday.
The edit is looking good so far, lots of feedback from classmates and friends that think its good, no constructive feedback yet but i'll ask for that when we've filmed more.

TO DO LIST

Get everyones costumes ready
Replace batteries in led lights
Purchase gaffer tape
MOST URGANT, PHONE CHLOE ASAP TO ARRANGE FILMING
find a way of getting film lights to the abandoned house, knock next door to find out + measure how much extension lead needed.
write a page of stage directions, maybe have a fight/struggling sequence between chloe and max
Get that fucking tent out the back of your car there is NO room for anything you should of either folded it up or abandoned it.

Album Cover and Magazine Advert: Feedback

Album Cover/Digi pack feedback
  • Excellent use of Photoshop
  • Theme of digi pack fits well with the video theme
  • Great choice of image
  • Font doesnt look tacky (Students often use font which doesn't compliment the theme)
  • The actress looks suited and very scary feel
  • The colours are dark, dirty and mysterious gives the forest location a scary feel
  • Use of gas mask and Efosa's scarf disguises the identity, gives mysterious feel
  • Powerful Images
  • Very professional product
  • Photograph is very sticking and the choice of image used links with video
  • Creative use of brushes
Magazine feedback
  • The image is perfect in showing the members of the band
  • Clear branding image of band
  • Looks very professional
  • Would fit straight into a magazine
  • Good choices of magazine ratings
  • Font is very prominent
  • Good mixture of font
  • Photoshop used well with blurring and colour
  • Use of the mirror links well to video
  • Overall branding of band is excellent

This feedback was great! We was very pleased with out final product but to hear it from other people gives us the confidence that our product is at a good standard.

Album Cover and Magazine Advert: Inset 1 Progression

As in the edit of the film we have so far there is quite a lot of red shots and red bears the connotation of action and violence. These themes are present of the theme of war.

Started with a red background

The technician(Jack) helped us download load some flowery and war-themed brushes.

Max made up some lyrics for the album cover and we put them on the cover panel.

Jack helped us download a text called "An Unfortunate Event". We added that and we applied a brush throughout the whole background and made it look older via lowering the opacity.

Album Cover and Magazine Advert: Photoshop editing Before and After Cloning

We wanted to get an image of Chloe on the CD panels but the aspect ratio meant that the circle in the middle would it cover her face so we decided to use the clone tool and clone the background into the empty space. We were apprehensive at first whether it would actually look any good but we are pleased with the end result.
